Marquise Hardick
Director of Operations of our Sedgwick Emergency Shelter

His favorite quote is “how you do anything is how you do everything.” He believes that you understand the fullness of a person by observing the little things, and that the little things ripple into the broader understanding of who one is. Dr. Hardrick is a GA native who earned his BBA in Management from Valdosta State University (Valdosta, GA), a MDiv in Philosophy & Theology and a DM in Environmental & Social Justice from The Interdenominational Theological Center (Atlanta, GA). Dr. Hardrick brings with him over 25 years of experience in leading religious congregations within the states of Georgia, Florida, and New York.

Dr. Hardrick has an embedded belief of communal oneness. This belief system shades the lenses in which he views the world, with visions of humanitarianism, mindful interactions, shared commitment, interconnectedness, and collective identity. These are the lenses that he brings to our shelter each and every day to assist those that are within the most vulnerable population of our society. He shares that a highlight of his job is, “knowing that I’m undergirding a story that future generations will share with their children about their family’s origin story in America.”
